Deputy Director Completes Successful Taiwan Lectures

Deputy Director Clair Linzey has just returned from a giving a series of five lectures, the Shoki Coe Lectures, at Tainan Theological Seminary, Tainan, Taiwan.

“It was a really rewarding visit” said Clair Linzey.  In addition to lecturing, she was treated to guided tours around Tainan visiting the National Cheng Kung University, the historical district of Anping and the Cultural and Ecological Zone.

The title of her lectures was ‘The Challenge of Animal Theology’.  “I was the first person invited to lecture on this topic and I believe we broke new ground”, said Clair.

“My special thanks to President Wong for his kind invitation, Professor Li for her excellent translation and to her students for their tour of National Cheng Kung University. Also to the Revd. Hui-hui Lin and the Revd. Wen-pei Shin for their wonderful hosting and to Vivian Su for organizing my visit”.

The five lectures will be published in the Presbyterian Church Press Newspaper in Taiwan
